Completing 42 Square Miles of 3D Seismic in Six Days

Project: Midcon 3D
Contractor: Vantage Geophysical
Crew: Vantage Crew 202
Region: Midcontinent

Vantage Geophysical completed approximately 42 square miles of 3D seismic acquisition on the Midcon 3D Project, totaling nearly 30,000 vibrator points in just six days of continuous 24-hour operation.

The project used an integrated workflow with IP-based shooting, Secure Connect communications, Force 3 vibrator controllers, precision positioning, and remote operational oversight to keep production moving while maintaining safety and data quality.

The result demonstrates how experienced field execution and modern connected acquisition systems can deliver exceptional production without losing operational control.

Terrex Seismic Delivers Australia's First SSC DS4 Operation Through SecureConnect & Dashboard

Client: Terrex Seismic
Location: Queensland, Australia
Technology: DS4, Secure Connect, SSC Dashboard, Starlink, NavLink, SourceLink, UE3, Force3

Terrex Seismic completed Australia's first field deployment of SSC DS4 mode, using Secure Connect over Starlink to keep ten single-vibrator fleets connected with the recording crew and project team.

In an eight-hour production period, the operation achieved approximately 4,000 source points while maintaining live Time/Distance separation control, fleet visibility, production reporting, movement monitoring, and no-drive-zone awareness.

The connected workflow gave operators, recorders, supervisors, and managers a shared real-time view of production, routes, alerts, fleet status, and HSE controls from the field, office, camp, or mobile device.
